There are German and English speaking teachers so that your child learns both languages ​​in a playful way.

Long operating hours

The core care hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Late care until 5:30 p.m. is possible.

Our supporting association, GlobalKids Mainz e.V., provides both moral and financial support for the educational work of the daycare center.

Due to our unique educational profile—especially our bilingual focus—we deliberately plan for a higher staff-to-child ratio to ensure high-quality, individualized care for the children.

Supporting membership is voluntary and not a requirement for your child's enrollment.

At the same time, we are delighted to welcome parents who would like to support our work as supporting members and thus actively contribute to ensuring the long-term quality and diversity of our educational program.

With your support, you help make special projects, additional educational opportunities, and excellent working conditions for children and staff possible—for the benefit of all children in our daycare center.

Welcome to GlobalKids Kita Mainz!

Our Motivation

We are parents ourselves and were faced with the question of the right childcare for our children. We quickly realized that the offer in Mainz is very limited and that anyone would be lucky to get a childcare place at the time they need.

We have therefore decided to become active ourselves and set up a bilingual kindergarten in our city that is recognized by the city of Mainz.

1When is the opening of the GlobalKids Kita Mainz Weisenau?
Our goal is to open the daycare center in April 2026.
Due to the settling-in period, we will not be able to accept all children at once, so a later start is of course also possible.
2How much does a daycare spot cost?
For children up to their second birthday, income-based parental contributions apply, in accordance with the contribution regulations of the city of Mainz (available on the city of Mainz website). From their second birthday onwards, children in Rhineland-Palatinate are entitled to a free childcare place. However, due to our special bilingual concept and the planned higher staff-to-child ratio, we already know that we will need additional funding to cover the costs.
We therefore plan to structure the membership fee for supporting members of our association in such a way that it covers the ongoing costs. Our initiative is non-profit and does not aim to generate profits. All of the association's financial resources will go towards the planned daycare center.
3Who can apply for a daycare spot?
Basically, all families residing in Mainz, regardless of the family language.
4How can I apply for a daycare spot?
We are pleased that you are interested in our offer and would first like to ask you to send us a short introduction to your family with the date of birth of your child, the desired start date and reasons why you are interested in our planned daycare center and how you imagine a joint parenting partnership. All this information is of course treated confidentially based on the applicable data protection regulations. We will make a pre-selection on this basis and, in a second step, invite the families to an informational briefing, after which individual introductory discussions will be arranged. We take this phase of getting to know each other very seriously because we want all open questions to be clarified in advance and both sides to be able to rely on each other.
