About Us

We live in a time where good education is becoming increasingly important for the future of our children.

Above all, it's important that our children grow as individuals and learn how to acquire knowledge and skills independently. The foundation for this is laid in the first years of life. That's precisely why good childcare is so crucial. For this reason, we founded Global Kids Rhein-Main gGmbH and the supporting association GlobalKids Mainz e.V. As a non-profit, independent organization, we offer childcare for children from one year old until they start school. We're still in the early stages of our operation, but we have big plans.

Mission

We are a second home for children and our team by creating an environment that puts everyone's needs first, encourages learning, promotes well-being and fosters collaboration.

Vision

As a pioneer in childcare, we foster a generation of confident future shapers.

Values

Kindgerecht

For us, the well-being, development and individual needs of each child are always paramount.

Inquisitive

We demand and promote lifelong learning for children and educators.

Innovative

We are committed to innovation and improvement. Because what we do today, we can do better tomorrow.

Open to the world

We stand for bilingualism - children learn German and English naturally in everyday life, through play and loving support in both languages.

Partnership

We promote cooperation between educators, parents and the community to best support the development of children.

Sustainable

We are committed to sustainability - from environmentally friendly practices to promoting environmental awareness in children.

Healthy

We focus on the physical and emotional well-being and health of every child, employee, and partner.

Transparent

We stand for transparency in all our activities, decisions and our communication to earn the trust of parents, employees and partners.

GlobalKids Concept

We believe that when it comes to children and childcare, the motto should always be "We only accept the very best." This is precisely the principle behind our GlobalKids concept. We are convinced that a child's first years lay the foundation for their future, and every child has the potential to thrive in the right environment.

After years of dedicated work, we are proud to announce that our unique GlobalKids concept offers an exceptional childcare experience.

1

Needs-Oriented

Needs-based childcare is not a concept, but an attitude. Our GlobalKids educators live this attitude and regularly participate in professional development in this area. We are proud that in this way we can contribute to today's children growing into confident and happy adults of tomorrow.

2

Bilingual

In our globalized world, language skills are essential. Therefore, in our groups, all children are cared for by German- and English-speaking educator teams. The advantage of this is that all educators speak their own native language, allowing the children to learn the additional language authentically, without pressure, and in a playful way.

3

Shaping the future

We support children in discovering and courageously developing their individual strengths – as creative, responsible, and self-confident shapers of the future. In a supportive environment, we foster self-confidence, initiative, and the joy of actively shaping the world of tomorrow.

4

Healthy & active

The mental and physical well-being of children is of paramount importance for their holistic development. Our approach is therefore to integrate age-appropriate sports and activities into everyday kindergarten life to support motor skills, cognitive growth, social interaction, and the establishment of lifelong health-oriented habits.

5

Adaptive

What works today may not work tomorrow. Flexibility is especially important when it comes to children. Only an adaptable environment ensures that children receive the individual support they need for optimal learning, play, and overall well-being.

Standards

We only accept the very best. That's why we strive for the highest quality in everything we do. Always with the goal of not just setting standards, but new benchmarks.

Ja, we are bilingual.
Our children have the opportunity to learn and interact in both German and English, fostering a natural and intensive language experience. Each group has educator teams consisting of native German and English speakers. This concept, also alled the immersion model, it enables the teaching of both languages in natural, everyday interactions and in a playful way.

We are convinced that our bilingual concept not only allows children to gain knowledge of two languages, but also a broader perspective on the world around them. Furthermore, bilingualism plays an important role in promoting cognitive flexibility, cultural understanding, and early language acquisition. Incidentally, this does not harm the development of the mother tongue in any way. On the contrary, the scientific community agrees that it actually promotes general language competence.
From early morning until late at night - we will be there.
We're more than just a daycare center. Here, children arrive small and leave larger-than-life. We support their parents by helping them balance family and work, with opening hours from early morning until afternoon (Mon-Fri 7:30 am to 4:30 pm).

Because we know that unexpected things can always come up, we also offer an individual babysitting service. This way, we create a loving and flexible environment for children and their families.
As individual as possible.
Every child and every family is different. We try to support this individuality as much as possible by offering flexible drop-off and pick-up times, for example. At the same time, we also have rules for everyone to provide a framework for daily life at the daycare center that gives the children a sense of security.
Well-informed and always in communication.
Transparency and open communication about your child's daily life and development are important to us. Whether it's brief chats at drop-off and pick-up, joint parent evenings, or individual parent-teacher meetings – close communication between parents, staff, and children is a matter of course for us. In addition, we regularly share current information, upcoming events, and insights into daily life at GlobalKids via our GlobalKidsApp.
We eat healthy and delicious food.
Healthy nutrition plays a vital role in children's development. Therefore, it is important to us to offer high-quality, healthy food that tastes good in our daycare centers. We adhere to the quality standards of the German Nutrition Society (DGE) to ensure this. In doing so, we support a healthy, balanced diet in our daycare centers and thus also the nutritional education of the children.
More is more. Our staffing ratio.
It is important to us that the children in our GlobalKids daycare centers receive the best possible care, and that our staff have time for the individual development of each child. Therefore, we have a staff-to-child ratio that is significantly better than the national average. What does that mean exactly? We have a ratio of 1:2 for children under one year old, 1:3 for children up to three years old, and 1:9 from age three until they start school. This is the only way we can guarantee optimal care and employee satisfaction.
Impressive: Modern, child-friendly design.
Our GlobalKids daycare centers impress with their appealing and child-friendly design, characterized by lovingly crafted furnishings and a well-thought-out spatial concept. Bright, cheerful colors, cozy corners for playing and learning, and age-appropriate furniture create an inspiring environment where children feel comfortable and can thrive.
We set safety and quality standards.
At GlobalKids, we place the highest value on safety and quality. We adhere to strict standards to guarantee the protection and well-being of children at all times. Through our internal quality management system and regular audits, we also ensure that everything we do not only meets the highest quality standards but sets new benchmarks.
Sustainability is not just a buzzword for us.
At GlobalKids daycare centers, sustainability is more than just a buzzword. We live and act sustainably to create a healthy environment for our children's future. From the selection of materials to recycling – sustainability is firmly anchored in our concept.
Anything but ordinary: Our partners.
Our partnerships are anything but ordinary. We work closely with select companies and organizations to offer children a diverse and enriching environment. Through innovative collaborations, we create unique experiences and learning opportunities for the children in our daycare center.

Hello. Team.

Hello from us, the GlobalKids daycare team. We would like to give you an insight into who works behind the scenes to provide all GlobalKids children with excellent care and education.

Peter Zubek

Managing Partner GlobalKids Rhein-Main gGmbH

Peter is the managing partner of GlobalKids Rhein-Main gGmbH, a daycare provider that originally grew out of a parent initiative. During this time, he not only learned about the importance of high-quality care and development for children, but also witnessed the significant challenges faced by volunteer-run daycare centers. He then decided to guide these and other daycare centers into the future, implementing modern, more direct, and more professional structures. In his private life, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, savoring a good wine or a cold beer with delicious barbecue, and is also active in sports as a handball coach for both youth and adults.

Björn Walden

Managing Partner of GlobalKids Rhein-Main gGmbH and First Chairman of the GlobalKids Mainz e.V. Support Association

Björn lives with his family in Mainz and personally faced the problem of not being allocated a childcare place for one of his daughters there. This situation, combined with his professional background as the director of an international school and daycare center near Frankfurt, sparked his desire to establish his own daycare center. In his work, he witnesses how much children benefit from early language acquisition and how crucial a reliable and structured approach to education is for their development. Enabling his own children to attend such a daycare center is very important to him. In his free time, he spends a lot of time with family and friends. Whenever possible, he enjoys being outdoors – hiking, jogging, or working in his garden.

Friederike Nagels

Board Member for Marketing & PR, GlobalKids Mainz e.V.

She experienced firsthand how difficult it is to find suitable childcare for her son. Her ambition to do better and create an environment that feels like a second home to both children and staff motivates her to give her best every day. In her role as Board Member for Marketing & PR, Friederike plays a crucial role in shaping the identity of GlobalKids daycare centers, ensuring that each one stands out through outstanding performance, innovation, and a genuine love for children.
